Black Diamond Heart
Black diamond’s have been around for a long time, and in the last few years have started to be marketed and promoted, making them start to be fashionable. Of all the colours for diamonds black diamond are a few less liked ones. But still it has got its own unique property of shining gets attraction of special jewellery lovers. This variety of diamond is found in Brazil. It occurs in irregular or rounded fragments, rarely distinctly crystallized, with a texture varying from compact to porous. Often because of its grey colour black diamond is called as Carbonados. It occurs in asymmetrical or rounded fragments and is rarely distinctly crystallized but reveals a strong luminescence induced by nitrogen content of crystal and by openings existing in crystal trellis. There are many other colours of diamonds which are far more attractive and available at quite reasonable prices. In a few years, some of the currently hyped black diamonds will come onto the secondary at a fraction of their current prices.
Three well recognized forms of black diamond heart are -:
1. Natural color diamond/ Carbonado
2. Irradiation treated diamond
3. Heat-treated under high temperature
These black diamonds are becoming more popular in jewellery due to marketing tactics. They are used like incarnations on different piece of jewelleries. These diamonds are highly priced due to their production process. Regardless of the price, these diamonds are still in demand for the unconventional black attire. It is noticed that Black Orlov Diamond reportedly to be worn by nominee Huffman during Academy Awards.
