Read Diamond heart is the name we gave to jewellery of red colour diamond and to those which are from shaped to heart shaped to attract every eyes attraction. Red heart shaped diamond falls in category of fancy diamonds. Also Ruby is July's birthstone. Nowadays a very few red diamonds are ever found, and generally only seen one treated red diamond. Some time ago jewellers were offered a red diamond.

It was described as a purplish red, so it is not a pure red, crimson, vermillion, or scarlet. Nevertheless for its size it is one of the most expensive diamonds. The largest and finest of these are auctioned every year or two, and sell for millions of pounds. There will be faintly red stones, and also stones with impure red colouration, which will be less attractive, and therefore less expensive than any vivid pure red stones. This red diamond generally used for making heart shaped earrings using it as centrepiece. But sad thing is that it is very rare to find the original red diamond.

The treatment can only work with a small minority of diamonds, and involves irradiating them causing the colour change, usually followed by heat treatment to stabilise the red colour. The processing adds to the costs, so it is generally only worth treating diamonds of high clarity.
